Validation and functional characterisation of primary sensory neurons derived from adult human dorsal root ganglia

An excellent PhD opportunity has arisen. We are looking for applicants for an exciting new PhD project investigating the physiology of adult human and rodent sensory neurons (Dorsal Root Ganglion neurons) with the goal of establishing new models for studying pain processing and aiding development of pain therapies. This project is being conducted at St Andrews in collaboration with researchers in Glasgow, and an industrial partner based in the Cambridge area, Metrion Biosciences.
