Explorathon 2016 kicks off tonight at the Byre Theatre at 5.30 – loads of exciting events going on there. The event continues tomorrow when we will be at Parkrun at Craigtoun park from 9.30am talking about brain training and giving you an opportunity to give it a try.
Lisa, Alison, Ying and Mizuki took a trip to the Burn in Glenesk with members of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Scottish network this week. The retreat included talks from new members, flash presentations from PhD students and a discussion session on the use of different animal models and how to choose the best for your research. It wasn’t all business though, the girls took part in team activities and a pub quiz hosted by St Andrews own Professor Frank Gunn-Moore (Mizuki was on the winning team!!).
