ARUK Scottish Network Retreat

Lisa, Alison, Ying and Mizuki took a trip to the Burn in Glenesk with members of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Scottish network this week. The retreat included talks from new members, flash presentations from PhD students and a discussion session on the use of different animal models and how to choose the best for your research. It wasn’t all business though, the girls took part in team activities and a pub quiz hosted by St Andrews own Professor Frank Gunn-Moore (Mizuki was on the winning team!!).

Mizuki and Ying have arrived!

Big welcome to our new PhD students Ying Cheng and Mizuki Morisaki (jointly supervised by Dr Karen Spencer) who have now arrived in St Andrews. Ying is sponsored by the China Scholarship Council – St Andrews Programme, and Mizuki is sponsored by the Japan Student Services Organization. Good luck in your studies!
